SHORT 'O' VOWEL - Eduar Carranza - Sebastian Aguilera - Erika Morales
SHORT ‘O’ VOWEL
1. The short O embodies the following features; Regarding American English it
is characterized as a lax mid-back rounded vowel, barely similar to the soft A
sound present in words such as father or jaw. In British English, this may
sound as a low back rounded vowel. Some examples are words like rock, mop, fox
and clock.

The
frog and the fox
Written by Sebastian Aguilera, TETL-2
I saw a Frog on the top of a rock
She was sad as she
looked at the clock
Then she stood in
front of a shop
But no one came, so
she sobbed
The sun was high,
it was hot
She called someone,
it was her mom
The frog nodded, bought a balloon from the shop
And on the bus saw her hop.
Three minutes
later, her friend appeared, I was the fox
He also bought
balloons but one of them popped
I told him she already
left, he also sobbed
It was quite odd,
so he called bob
In a car, he
left as he disappeared in the fog.
